Local web host wins Business Achievers award 2 years running
Banyo Web Hosting Business HostingOZ.comhas won the Quest Small Business Award for the 2nd year in succession. HostingOZ.com has been acknowledged world-wide for its commitment and service to the growing internet community.
In just three and a half years, Banyo-based web host provider Hosting Oz has won contracts throughout Australia, the United States and Great Britain.
Hosting Oz director Ian Partridge said he was delighted with the recognition, especially after his recent success in the Quest Newspapers Business Achiever’s Award.
“I feel the international recognition justifies the work I have been putting into the local community in terms of services and helping people set up their web sites to be as effective as possible,” he said.
“And I think it was the support of Brisbane’s web community, through avenues such as the Quest Newspapers Awards, which helped us develop a wider profile.”
Mr Partridge said the world-wide award was a real achievement in the internet business.
“Of every site deemed to be deserving of consideration for an award, many more are rejected,” he said.
Mr Partridge set up Hosting Oz in February 2002 to provide the community with a reliable service at an affordable price.
“A web site is an essential business tool in this era but many small firms and individuals find the task of maintaining, updating and servicing their sites prohibitive,” he said.
“I wanted to provide a service which took the upkeep headache away from web site owners and allowed them to get on with the core activities of their businesses and lives.”
Hosting Oz customers now include small businesses, schools, individuals and community and special interest groups.
It is fully Australian owned and offers 24 hour technical support to clients.
“We feel the (the Hosting Oz) site is an asset to the web hosting community,”
